Did you ever sign in to the wrong company? Did you ever key data only to realize that you are in the wrong database? Does switching companies just take too long when you also have to change system databases or servers? Tired of being prompted to login to the last company you used instead of the company that you want to use?
Is Windows Authentication mode putting you into the wrong company more often than not?
SL QuickLaunch is easy!
Define combinations of server, system database, and company. Assign a meaningful alias to each combination. Then quickly launch Dynamics SL directly into the desired server / database / company combination from the system tray menu or from desktop shortcuts.
In the process of troubleshooting an issue identified by one of our customers, KB Technologies has discovered a bug in SL that causes records in the Access table to be deleted prematurely. Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug and has tagged it with number 17257. This bug occurs on SL 7.0 systems using Windows authentication. Each time a user who is not in the administrative group logs into SL, the Access records get deleted. Since this has impacted SL Auditor and SL UserAccessLog, we decided that we could not wait for a fix from Microsoft. We have developed a workaround for the bug. Upgrading to SL 7.0?
If you are using our SL Auditor product, please contact us before you start doing your test conversion. Our 7.0 tables have a different structure, and you will need to use our upgrade utility to convert to this new structure. The first step required to upgrade the SL Auditor tables must be completed BEFORE the SL Database upgrade is completed.
